Happy Birthday Go4th! Events held 23 June 2019

Go4th was 2 years old in June 2019!!!! and we have so many things to celebrate with the Diocese of Oxford coming to visit us in May 2019 to get the whole story of how Go4th started…it was God inspired we say.

The Board Room – this month our regular Coffee Morning saw a new venture – board games for all comers.  We plan to make this a part of each Go4th from now on – so if Board Games are your thing come and join us for Filter Coffee and Homemade Cake at our monthly Board Room, 11am-12.15pm 4th Sunday of every month.

Ivy clearance – a small team led by Mark cleared a huge amount of ivy from the Churchyard Wall, revealing ancient stonework that we hadn’t seen for years!

Litter-picking – Our intrepid team of volunteers went out and served our community by collecting bags of litter. It’s a great way to love our local area, and surprisingly enjoyable!

We welcome anyone who’d like to join us on the 4th Sunday of every month starting 11am from All Saints.

Gravel Drain Replacement, Village Hall, Milton Keynes Village

This month our tasks were to weed the new trench being dug for the gravel drain and to clear space for a second bin.  Thanks to a a terrific team we completed the planned works – the trench was weeded and the shrubbery removed.  The sun shone too!

Go 4th Gardening Project – Millennium Gardens – Milton Keynes Village

The Go4th team in the months of June to October 2017 revived the Millennium Gardens located behind the Village Hall and the Swan Inn Pub in the village.  Each Go4th Sunday we worked together to removed dead shrubs, weeds and worked tirelessly to revived the gardens which had been forgotten.  Eventually it was able to show off it’s beauty.  The footpath was cleared and people were able to sit on the benches that were hidden away under the growing wild weeds and flowers.

 

A good result after our commitment we are delighted our Community can now make use of this lovely garden.
